Joke Poo

An old couple had been married for 50 years.

Posted on July 26, 2025 by Joke Poo

Every single morning – like clockwork – the husband would let out a thunderous fart as he got out of bed, then laugh like a lunatic.

And every single morning, his wife would glare at him and say, “One of these days, you’re gonna blow your guts out.”

Fast-forward to Thanksgiving morning. He’s sleeping in while she’s prepping the turkey.

Suddenly, she gets an idea. With a handful of warm turkey guts, she tiptoes upstairs, peels back the waistband of his boxers, and loads him up.

An hour later, she hears the usual BANG! followed by cackling…

But then— silence.

Ten minutes pass. No sound.

Then she hears slow, shuffling footsteps. Down the stairs he comes – pale, sweaty, trembling like a leaf.

She casually asks, “Everything alright, dear?”

He stares at her, eyes wide, and whispers…

“Well, you were right… I DID blow my guts out… but praise the Lord – with these two fingers and a little determination – I got 'em all back in.”

Joke Poo: The Art Critic

An art critic, renowned for his pretentious pronouncements, visited a new modern art exhibit. Every day, he’d stare intently at a particularly abstract sculpture, loudly pontificating about its profound meaning – the artist’s struggle with existential dread, the commentary on societal decay, the exploration of the human condition.

Each day, the museum janitor, a humble man with a simple life, would patiently sweep around him, listening with growing annoyance.

Finally, one morning, the critic overslept. The janitor, thinking he was being helpful, noticed a large, glistening bird dropping on the sculpture. Assuming it ruined the artist’s intended look, he carefully cleaned it off.

An hour later, the critic arrived, ready to deliver another soliloquy on the sculpture’s brilliance. He stared at the now-spotless artwork, his face paling.

The janitor, seeing his distress, cautiously asked, “Is everything alright, sir?”

The critic, eyes wide with horror, whispered, “It was…it was perfect…The dark void against the stark white! A representation of inevitable decay, a stark reminder of our futile existence! I understood it!…but the artist, he cleaned it up”.

He pauses, collects himself, and slowly shakes his head, adding, “With these two fingers…I put it all back in”.

Alright, let’s dissect this fart-tastic joke.

Key Elements:

  1. The Setup: Long-married couple, predictable routine, husband’s loud farts, wife’s repeated threat. This establishes a comedic conflict.
  2. The Twist: Wife plays a disgusting prank, anticipating a specific reaction.
  3. The Subversion: The husband’s reaction is not what she expects. It’s much, much worse (and funnier).
  4. The Gross-Out Factor: Obvious, but crucial. Turkey guts as a prop elevate the absurdity.
  5. The Punchline: The image of the husband shoving his “guts” back in is the core of the humor. It’s the culmination of the escalating grossness and the unexpected result of the prank.

Comedic Enrichment – New Humor Idea: “Thanksgiving Turkey Trivia – The Explosive Edition!”

Okay, imagine we’re doing a Thanksgiving trivia night, but with a twist inspired by the joke:

Host: “Alright folks, next question! Turkeys are known for many things, including being delicious… and apparently, explosive. But did you know that a fully stuffed turkey can, in theory, contain enough methane to almost be flammable? It’s true! It’s the food fermentation that produces gases like methane. So, statistically, one in five turkeys nearly cause a minor flatulence incident during carving, leading to a panicked moment where the carver almost sets it alight. The question is, what percentage of emergency calls on Thanksgiving are attributed to ‘Suspicious Turkey Odors’? … And what is the best way to avoid any methane related issues while preparing your Thanksgiving dinner??”

The setup highlights the potential for gas-related humor, and we can imagine audience participation with questions like “Has this EVER happened to you?”.

Why this works:

  • Connects to the original: Uses the theme of digestion and explosive (fart-like) events.
  • Emphasizes the gross-out/absurd: We are talking about the potential for a flammable turkey, creating a ridiculous mental image.
  • Subverts Expectations: Instead of a joke, it’s a “trivia” setup, but with a hilariously absurd (and semi-scientific) twist.
  • Leverages a “Did You Know” format: Gives a veneer of believability.

Or, to make it even better, a final question “On a scale of 1 to 10, how willing would you be to help someone shove their insides back in after an unfortunate flatulence accident…?”
