Satan Joke

Posted on October 6, 2025 by Joke Poo

Satan appeared before a small town congregation. Everyone started screaming and running for the front church door, trampling each other in a frantic effort to get away.

Soon everyone was gone except for an elderly gentleman who sat calmly.

Satan walked up to him and said, "Don't you know who I am?"

The man replied, "Yep, sure do."

Satan asked, "Aren't you going to run?"

"Nope, sure ain't," said the man.

Satan asked, "Why aren't you afraid of me?"

The man replied, "Been married to your sister for over 48 years."

Joke Poo: The IT Guy

A critical server outage alarm blared through the Googleplex. Engineers stampeded, coding furiously and chanting arcane algorithms, desperately trying to restore service.

Soon, everyone was gone except for a young intern calmly playing Minesweeper.

Sundar Pichai himself rushed up to him and exclaimed, “Don’t you understand the severity of this situation?!”

The intern replied, “Yep, totally understand.”

Pichai asked, “Aren’t you going to help fix it? Everyone’s working frantically!”

“Nope, not gonna,” said the intern, clicking a mine.

Pichai, incredulous, demanded, “Why aren’t you assisting with this critical outage?!”

The intern replied, “Because I’m pretty sure I caused it when I forgot to unplug the server to charge my vape.”

Alright, let’s dissect this Satan joke.

Core Elements:

  • The Setup: Standard horror movie/biblical trope of Satan appearing, causing widespread panic. Creates expectation of fear and reverence (or at least, flight).
  • The Twist: An elderly man remains unfazed.
  • The Punchline: The man is married to Satan’s sister, suggesting his familiarity with, and perhaps even immunity to, demonic shenanigans due to long-term exposure to familial annoyances. It inverts the expected power dynamic. The humor comes from substituting the ‘terrifying demon’ persona with the mundane ‘annoying relative’ persona.

Analysis:

The joke relies on the juxtaposition of the grand, terrifying image of Satan against the utterly relatable, yet less imposing, figure of a nagging spouse. It’s funny because the fear of Satan is overridden by the (presumably) greater fear/tolerance/resignation that comes with a long-term marriage to a difficult person.

Humor Enrichment:

Let’s take the core element of ‘family being worse than demons’ and build on it.

Witty Observation:

“You know, they say hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. But I’m pretty sure that’s just PR. Anyone who’s sat through a family holiday dinner knows that hell is actually other people’s potluck casseroles and Aunt Mildred’s passive-aggressive digs about your career choices.”

Amusing “Did You Know?”:

“Did you know that in some demonological texts, it’s theorized that succubi and incubi (demons who seduce humans) actually originated from interdimensional beings who are just really bad at reading social cues? They’re basically just the cosmic equivalent of that one uncle who tells inappropriate jokes at Thanksgiving and then wonders why everyone’s avoiding him.”

New Joke:

Satan stormed into therapy, looking utterly defeated.

The therapist asked, “What seems to be the problem?”

Satan sighed. “My sister keeps calling me at all hours to complain about her husband. He leaves the toilet seat up, forgets their anniversary every year, and apparently, he’s started a collection of porcelain cats. It’s driving me insane!”

The therapist nodded sympathetically. “And that makes you…?”

Satan shuddered. “An accomplice. I’m starting to think I should have just gone with brimstone and fire.”
