Fake Poo

one day I entered a vast and grand library — a world overflowing with knowledge and wisdom

Posted on May 28, 2025 by Joke Poo

As I stepped in, I felt lost in this universe of books; every direction pulled me toward a treasure of learning, and it felt like I had wandered into an endless labyrinth with no way out.

After roaming around for quite some time, I saw a young woman deeply absorbed in the pages of a book, completely oblivious to the world. I asked her,

"How can I find the way out of this library?"

Without lifting her head, and with complete calm, she replied:

"Look at the last sentence of the 14th line on page 25 of such-and-such book."

Her answer was like a riddle to me. Filled with curiosity and amazement, I eagerly searched for the book and, with utmost seriousness, began my quest to find that specific page, line, and sentence.

At last, I found the book, turned to the page, reached the 14th line, and read the final sentence.

The sentence read: "I don't know."

Original Joke:

One day I entered a vast and grand library — a world overflowing with knowledge and wisdom. I asked her, "How can I find the way out of this library?" Without lifting her head, and with complete calm, she replied: "Look at the last sentence of the 14th line on page 25 of such-and-such book." Her answer was like a riddle to me. Filled with curiosity and amazement, I eagerly searched for the book and, with utmost seriousness, began my quest to find that specific page, line, and sentence. At last, I found the book, turned to the page, reached the 14th line, and read the final sentence. The sentence read: "I don’t know."

Joke Poo: The Tech Support Nightmare

One day, I dialed into a colossal tech support call center – a digital ocean teeming with problems and solutions. As the hold music assaulted my ears, I felt adrift in a sea of automated menus, each option leading me further from actual help. It felt like I’d entered an endless digital maze with no escape. After enduring what felt like an eternity, a bored-sounding technician finally answered. I pleaded, "How do I fix error code 0x80070005? It’s been crashing my system for days!" Without a pause, and with perfect indifference, she replied: "Check the third word of the fifth paragraph of section 2.4 in troubleshooting document KG7743." Her answer was like a cryptic command. Consumed by hope and desperation, I frantically searched the support website, downloaded the document, and, with painstaking effort, navigated to the specified section and paragraph. Finally, I found the word. The word was: "Reboot."

Okay, let’s dissect this joke.

Core Elements:

  • Setting: A vast, labyrinthine library, symbolic of overwhelming knowledge.
  • Premise: The protagonist is lost and seeks help.
  • Setup: The woman’s absurdly specific and cryptic instruction. It suggests she possesses unique knowledge of the library’s layout, almost magically so.
  • Punchline: The utterly unhelpful answer, "I don’t know," delivered through a ridiculously convoluted method. This creates a strong juxtaposition between the expectation of insightful guidance and the reality of blatant ignorance. The humor comes from the over-the-top effort expended to receive useless information. It satirizes the idea that information, no matter how obscurely found, is inherently valuable.

Joke Type: Irony, Absurdity, Anti-Humor

Comedic Enrichment:

Let’s play with the idea of obscure, unhelpful library knowledge. Consider this a "Did You Know?" entry:

Did you know?

The Library of Congress holds a copy of the Codex Gigas, also known as the Devil’s Bible. It’s said to contain all human knowledge, but conveniently omits the location of the nearest decent coffee shop. Scholars have spent years analyzing its demon-related illustrations, while struggling to find caffeine. Ironically, the only reliable information it provides is on demonology but zero instructions how to find the exit. They also confirm that page 42, line 7, sentence 3 contains the secret to immortality. When translated? "Probably not."
